Sown in Weakness

At the moment of conception a new life began
With a body, soul and spirit, the tiniest man
In her womb you were nurtured as the bonds of love grew
The days seemed so long as we waited for you.

"Sown in weakness, Raised in power"
Was the promise in that hour.
And if he tarries I will be
Sown in weakness, Raised in power.

I won't understand it here on this earth,
Why, months too early, you came to birth.
We cried when they showed you (a seed had been sown)
And your spirit was ascending up to His throne.

"Sown in weakness, Raised in power"
Was the promise in that hour.
And if he tarries I will be
Sown in weakness, Raised in power.

I know God has a way of easing the pain,
Like a bright morning sun after three days of rain.
So after our comforting friends all had been heard,
He gently revealed his glorious Word.

"Sown in weakness, Raised in power"
Was the promise in that hour.
And if he tarries I will be
Sown in weakness, Raised in power.
